Meyer Motor is a three generation family business started in 1946 by Melvin (Mel) Meyer who, in retirement passed it on to his son, Ed Meyer. Ed and his son Craig currently manage the business. The business was a Ford franchised dealership from 1946 to 2000 and has operated as a used car dealership since September of 2000.  Meyer Motor offers quality used cars, trucks and vans for sale and services vehicles in its full service repair shop. Wrecker and flatbed towing service is also available along with body repair.

Ed Meyer (far left in above photo) is the General Manager and makes sure business operations are running smoothly.  He was born and raised in Bridgewater and grew up helping his parents in the garage business.  After attending Springfield College taking a course in Body Shop and the National School of Business in Rapid City, he came back to Bridgewater to help operate the family business.  Ed and his wife Barb (middle in above photo) have four children:  Brenda, Craig, Krista and Andrea and ten grandchildren.

Craig Meyer (far right in above photo) is the Assistant Manager and works in all areas of the business.  Craig graduated from Bridgewater High School in 1988 and attended Southeast Area Vo-Tech in Sioux Falls graduating with a degree in Auto Body.  He operated Ed's Body Shop before coming to help at Meyer Motor in 1994.  Along with working various areas of the dealership business, he still does body work as well.  Craig and his wife Carolyn have five children: Curt, Cari, Cate, Cara and Casey.

Rhonda Glanzer joined the staff at Meyer Motor in 1997 as bookkeeper.  She graduated from Freeman High School in 1990 and from Nettleton Junior College in 1992 with a degree in Accounting.  She and her husband Scott have one daughter, Shawna.

HAPPY RETIREMENT!!!  Marvin (Marv) Rempfer began working as an auto technician for Melvin Meyer in 1970 and retired in June of 2014. He and his wife Margaret have two sons and five grandchildren with another 2 on the way.  THANK YOU Marv for all your years of service to Meyer Motor serving the Bridgewater and surrounding communities with your trustworthy mechanical expertise!

Charles (Charlie) Millman joined the staff at Meyer Motor as an auto technician in September of 2010.  He and his wife, Tiffany have three children, Mariah, Luke and Cooper.

working on organizing the 48th Annual Alumni Banquet in a few months

Greetings to the alumni and friends of Bridgewater High School,
     The officers of the BHS Alumni Association would like to invite you to the 48th Annual Alumni Banquet which will be held in the Bridgewater High School gymnasium on

                                         SATURDAY, JUNE ?, 2015.

     We invite former students and their spouses or significant others and BHS teachers to join us at a social hour beginning at 5:00 p.m. and dinner at 6:00 p.m.  A great meal will be catered in by Central Catering this year.  They will offer two meat choices, roast beef or turkey and dressing with all the trimmings plus ice cream.  You may come early to tour the school facility.
     The classes of 1965 and 1990 will be the honored guests this year.  These 50- and 25-year classes will be seated at reserved tables.  We also encourage other classes to get together at the banquet.  Please let the committee know your plans so we can arrange special seating for your class.
