Ed Meyer was born and raised in Bridgewater and grew up helping his parents, Melvin and Evelyn Meyer, in the garage business. After attending Springfield College taking a course in Body Shop and the National School of Business in Rapid City, he came back to Bridgewater to help operate the family business and eventually taking over the business from his dad. He owned/operated the business until January 2018 when his son, Craig took over the business. Ed still comes to work daily and makes sure business operations are running smoothly. Ed and his wife Barb (middle in above photo) have four children: Brenda (Lee) Schaffer, Craig (Carolyn) Meyer, Krista Meyer and Andrea (Chad) Addy and eleven grandchildren.
Craig Meyer is the General Manager and works in all areas of the business. Craig graduated from Bridgewater High School in 1988 and attended Southeast Area Vo-Tech in Sioux Falls graduating with a degree in Auto Body. He operated Ed's Body Shop before coming to help at Meyer Motor in 1994. Along with working various areas of the dealership business, he still does body work as well. Craig and his wife Carolyn have five children: Curt, Cari, Cate, Cara and Casey.
Andrea (Meyer) Addy joined her dad and brother at Meyer Motor the summer of 2019 as an accountant. Andrea attended Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls graduating with an associate’s degree in Business Administration and later attended University of Sioux Falls graduating with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Andrea and her husband Chad have two children: Emma and Brinley.
Anthony Jaeger is a graduate of Bridgewater-Emery High School. In May of 2019, he received his associate’s degree in mechanics from Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown SD.
Anthony joined the Meyer Motor team as an intern the summer of 2018 and is now employed as a full time mechanic.
